opera by definition celebrated its 10th Anniversary with a gala
opera concert featuring excerpts and arias from our work since 2002.
We presented a programme of arias from our operas of the past ten years:
Mozart's The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni & Cosi fan Tutte, Purcell's Dido &
Æneas, Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin & Handel's Tamerlano - plus a few surprise extras!
Our singers were:
Mary Nelson: Soprano
James Cleverton: Baritone
Callum Thorpe: Bass Baritone
Stephen Rooke: Tenor
Rachel Nicholls: Soprano
Catherine Carby: Mezzo-Soprano
Award-winning pianist Emma Abbate performed on piano & harpsichord with
acclaimed period instrumentalist Yair Avidor on Mandolin & Theorbo and
Jennifer Bennett on Violin. Tonbridge based David and Jeremy Clack
performed on French Horn and Trumpet with Maestro David Macdonald on Cello.
