Gerald Finley (Bass Baritone)
Canadian baritone Gerald Finley began singing as a chorister in Ottawa. He completed his musical studies in the UK at the Royal College of Music, King’s College, Cambridge, and the National Opera Studio with the support of the Friends of Covent Garden, The Countess of Munster Musical Trust, and was the winner of Glyndebourne’s John Christie Award.
Gerald Finley began his opera work in the Mozart roles at Glyndebourne. His roles include Count, Figaro, Creonte in Haydn’s L’anima del filosofo, the Forester in The Cunning Little Vixen, Don Giovanni and Germont in La Traviata. His portrayal of Golaud in Pelleas et Melisande at the Royal Opera Covent Garden has won him a nomination for 'Outstanding Achievement In Opera' at the 2008 Laurence Olivier Awards.
Other recent roles are the title role of Eugene Onegin for English National Opera, Owen Wingrave in the Channel 4 film of Britten’s opera and lead roles in major premières: Harry Heegan (The Silver Tassie), Mr. Fox (Fantastic Mr. Fox), Jaufre Rudel (L’amour de loin) and J. Robert Oppenheimer (Doctor Atomic).

Louise Winter (mezzo-soprano)
Louise Winter began her musical training at Chethams School of Music, continuing with Frederick Cox at the Royal Northern College of Music. She currently studies with Sylvia Jacobs.
Since making her debut with Glyndebourne Touring Opera in 1982, Louise Winter's many opera appearances have included Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, Mercedes in Carmen, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, and Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia on tour, and at Glyndebourne Nancy (Albert Herring), Varvara (Katya Kabanova), Olga (Eugene Onegin), and Pauline (The Queen of Spades).
Concert work has been wide-ranging and acclaimed performances have included Vivaldi's Juditha triumphans, appearances at the Barbican Hindemith Festival under Andrew Davis, and with the Hallé Orchestra under Kent Nagano and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under Sir Simon Rattle. Recital appearances include the Midi Musicaux series at the Chatelet in Paris and the Bath International Festival.
